DAYS 294 - 300

Day 300?!?! Whaaaaaaaaaat?! I hate to say it, but I won't really miss this when I'm done!

Day 294:

Thursday was a very productive, but very loooooong. After going to school from 9:30 to 4:45, I had to work 6 to 10. blehhh

Day 295:

TATTOO PARTY! We went to a friend's house on Friday night and had a LA Ink party! It was so funny to see everyone's temporary tattoos...Sara's was personally my favorite. She drew Harry Potter glasses on her arm and put the scar above them!

Day 296 - 297:

We went apartment hunting both days this weekend so we were all over Athens. We ended up finding quite a few that were decent, but we still have more to look at before we make the decision.

Day 298:

My delicious dinner :) I made a tasty turkey burger that I found the recipe online for, sweet potato chips, and broccoli!

Day 299 - 300:

I have my first test of the semester on Thursday :/ It's in my aging class which is super boring so studying is not a top priority. Instead, I've been making a wish list on Urban Outfitters :)

DAYS 181 - 186

Day 181:

I finally started Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben. I know it's been up on the side bar for a while, but I kept forgetting to change it when I read the other books! So far it's really good and it's a quick read so expect a review soon.

Day 182:

I had to order this book for my Parental Education and Child Guidance class. Now, Amazon keeps suggesting other parental books. I hopefully won't be needing those for a while...

Day 183:

We had yet another themed party! This one was based on Jersey Shore and let me tell you, there were so very interesting outfits! Not too many people showed up since most went home but it was still a pretty good turn out and it was fun!

Day 184:

Sara, Kerry, and I traveled to the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta for the Stars concert. I didn't start listening to them until a couple of years ago and in the past month, I've been listening to them a lot. They are so good and if you haven't heard of them, I recommend their latest cd, The Five Ghosts. It is awesome. They played my favorite song and some that I haven't heard before which was awesome. AH they were so good!!

Day 185:

I drove to my dad's house yesterday to drop off some books for my grandparents and a book sale they're having. It was a pretty day so the drive wasn't bad and we ended up watching the Falcons (who won!). I haven't been watching them this season, but this game was pretty interesting.

Day 186:

I absolutely love this weather! It makes walking to class much more bearable. I can't wait until the leaves start changing and I actually have to take a jacket with me. Hopefully, that will be soon!

DAYS 132 - 140

First of all, WOW. It has been a very long time since I've posted anything! Nothing's really happened other than school starting and working a lot, but hopefully things will change soon and I'll update more! Since school started, work won't be taking up as much time as it does now; I'll probably be getting only 15 - 20 hours a week instead of 30. Now, onto updating my 365 Picture thing!

Day 132:

I finished Rose Madder. If you would like to read the review, you can find it here.

Day 133:

Charlotte Russe is amazing. I went in on my dinner break and found a ton of purses/bags that were on sale! I had to think about it for a day, but when I went back, I ended up purchasing a tote bag that I've been using for school, a purse that will be good for UGA games, and a clutch that I can use when going out. They were all for under $40, which I thought was a really good deal!

Day 134:

Even though it was Friday the 13th, we took our chances and had a RIP Summer party. A ton of people showed up which made it a lot of fun and quite a few people from high school came. Our parties are so much fun with all of the dancing, meeting new people, and just hanging out; I wouldn't mind having them more often!

Day 135:

We had a nice little fashion show at work! Actually it was more like, we dressed up in some of the outrageous clothing that just came in when we were super bored. There were hardly any customers that night so we decided to make our own fun. But what I don't understand is why a designer thinks this looks good. Seriously? None of them have sold, not surprisingly.

Day 136:

It was my day off so I traveled home and spent some time with my grandma, aunt, and then I went home to hang out with my family. Hardly anyone was there though so I had a nice time with Mom and Weyman. We rented Date Night and cooked out so how can you go wrong? Earlier on in the week, I bought this shirt from Macy's :) It was on sale (down to almost $10) so of course I had to add it to my wardrobe. I'm kind of a big fan of sales.

Day 137:

The first day of Fall semester has arrived! I only have two classes on MWF and they don't start until 12:20, so needless to say, it was pretty great. Since I got my core classes out of the way, I'm taking mostly major classes. Monday, I had Intro. to Advertising and Intro. to Environmental Health Science.

Day 138:

Tuesday/Thursday, I have three classes: Parental Guidance and Child Education, Abnormal Psychology, and Interpersonal Relationships. All three are so interesting! I love not dreading going to school anymore. Now the only thing that I have to dread is the buses and how dang packed they are.

Day 139:

Nanny had a doctor appointment yesterday so Mom was in town. We all went out to eat to the Varsity which was pretty tasty. On the way home, I stopped by the library and picked up my books that I had on hold: The Romantics and Mrs. Kimble. The Romantics is being made into a movie which I posted here, and Mrs. Kimble is written by the same author who wrote The Condition, so I'm pretty sure both will be awesome.

Day 140:

It was my night for family dinner night so I made some tasty tilapia. It was supposed to be Moroccan Salmon, but salmon was way to expensive and they only had farm raised, so I switched it to tilapia. The marinade is made of yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper which is a delicious combination. The cumin kind of reminds me of tacos, but it gave the fish a really good flavor.

Well, all I can say is, it's good to be back! I have some ideas for a couple of posts coming up, but for now, I'm ready for Jersay Shore to come on tonight! Hopefully, I'll keep up with posting more now that work has calmed down and school started!

DAY 65-67

Day 65:

the delicious cake. publix did an awesome job. it tasted great and looked amazing

Weyman's retirement party was this weekend and it was a ton of fun. His oldest daughter and her family came down to join in and some of my parent's friends were there also. Mom set up a nice tribute to Weyman in the living room and it was really cool to see some of his old photos from back in the day. Hanging out in the backyard with some people who's company I really enjoy was a nice way to spend my Saturday!

Day 66:

source

I went with Cade, Adam, Katie, and Amy (brothers, sister, bro's gf) to see Get Him to the Greek. It was a pretty funny movie, but I don't think I'll be seeing it again unless someone else buys it or rents it for me. It was the kind of movie that had some funny one-liners, but it got kind of boring toward the end. It wasn't a bad movie by any means and I would see it again, as long as I don't have to pay anything the next time :)

Day 67:

(ignore my creepy smile, i couldnt figure out what to do with my face)

Today, I found a really cool curl in my hair. I'll go ahead and tell you, I have very strange hair. When I was younger, it was straight as a board on top, but the underneath was spirally. It didn't get curly all over until I was about 13 or 14. Now, it's still spirally on the bottom and the top is frizzy/wavy. Anyway, I found a really cool spiral around my face today when I was doing my makeup. As I write this, I realize how lame this picture for the day is, but I didn't do anything really interesting do deal with it! :)

P.S. The Condition is super good! I try to read at least a chapter a night, but with this book, I always want to read more. There really hasn't been anything significant happen yet, but its really interesting to learn about the family. So far, so good!

TAKIN' IT BACK

I completely forgot to mention the awesome 80's Bash we had this weekend! Most of the people dressed up and I have to say, the outfits were outrageous. I'm sure the GoodWill was wondering why so many people were coming in to buy out-dated clothing.

the roomies

kayla and sara (in two of the best costumes of the night)

another awesome costume

other fellow 80's peeps

Our next party is probably going to be Greek themed (sororities and fraternities, not togas). I'm pretty excited about to see everyone's outfits for that one!

*the Greek theme is not to make fun of anyone in sororities or fraternities, we will dress up to exaggerate the outfits the majority of them wear :)
