MISSISSIPPI DELTA

A couple of weekends ago, we made the trip to the Mississippi Delta for one of Kenny's friend's weddings. It was beautiful! The wedding was on a plantation in a town of 1,200 people, the reception was under a tent with the food set up buffet style, and luckily, the rain held off all night. Although I got eaten alive by bugs, it such a fun night.

NYC: FOOD

HB Burger was so delicious. They had excellent burgers and fries, plus it wasn't too expensive! A great introductory meal!

Oh, McDonalds. Of course we had to eat there for breakfast!

The Playwright Celtic Pub was pretty good. Their fries were awesome, but the burger wasn't something that I would order again. It was very light and kind of difficult to eat, but it had a very tasty sauce.

That line in the first picture is for a food stand on the side of the street! We heard about it on a tour we were on so we decided to try it out. It was pretty good for the price and the fact that it wasn't in a restaurant.

Real New York pizza! Mom got actually slices of pizza while I went for a spinach calzone. It was very, very tasty.

BEST CHEESECAKE EVER. It was so creamy...I haven't tasted anything like it!

I really wanted Italian food our list night so we found this little restaurant. They had the best salad and chicken parmesan. So tasty and not that expensive!

NYC: DAY 5

Our last day was so exciting! We went to St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Plaza where they were filming 30 Rock! It was so cool to see Tina Fey and everyone on the show filming a scene for that show. I was so excited! Afterward, we did some last minute shopping, went to the Empire State Building, went to Grand Central Terminal (beautiful!) and then spent some of the rest of the night watching them film New Year's Eve in Times Square. It was a great way to end the trip!

NYC: DAY 4

We walked over 7 miles this day...too much! We were able to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in the morning an after that, we walked back to our hotel. Walking back allowed us to go to Chinatown, see Ground Zero, and walk through Soho. That day was crammed with so many sites, it was emotion filled at the 9/11 Memorial store, but it was excellent.
