CATCHING UP

I haven't really been on top of blogging lately (hopefully that will change in the weeks to come) so I've been creating these semi-long posts that include things that I want to speak about. Here's what I'm asking you: are these long posts annoying? I don't want to be writing a post that someone opens up and then sees that is super long and just decides not to read it...so if you'll let me know what you think about them, I would appreciate it!! :)

------------------------

First off, I'm so excited for tomorrow!! I can't believe that we're finally going to see Mary Poppins at the Fox. I think we might watch MP tonight when I get home from work, just to be prepared for tomorrow. AHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED!!

------------------------

Last night, I decided to finally watch The Bridges of Madison County. This movie is critically acclaimed, and to be honest, I don't see why. In my opinion, the story line was ok, but it was a little too corny for my taste. I'm not saying it was a bad movie, because it wasn't by an means, I just went in expected an awesome movie. To be honest, the first 5 to 10 minutes are what made the movie to me; they were very slow and I had no idea what was going on. I think from now on, I'll read a book and watch a movie with no expectations. It seems that I go in with certain ones and then they end up completely wrong (The Lovely Bones). One thing I'll give the movie is at the end, I found myself tearing up for Meryl Streep's character. The end scene in the rain...oh man, that kind of redeemed the movie from the beginning. All in all, the story was ok, the characters were what I liked most, and I think I would watch this movie again!

Earlier on in the year, I made a list of books that I'm going to read. Right now, I'm working on The Last Song, next I'm going to read The Princess Diaries (they seem like the perfect summer books). I think from then on, I'm going to try and read a book that might be a harder read alternated with a funny, quick read. Here is my list that I'll hopefully get through:

The Last Song
The Princess Diaries (1-3)
Little Women
The Devil Wears Prada
Emma
Little Altars Everywhere
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
Son of a Witch
The Condition
The Nanny Diaries
AND I would really like to re-read the Twilight series...I honestly don't know why

When I'm done reading a book, I'll make a post about it, so be prepared for the many to come!

Now onto A Picture a Day:

Day 35:

{insert graduation picture}

My brother graduated on Saturday!! Congratulations to Cade! I'm hoping that when I go home tomorrow, I'll be able to get the pictures off my mom's camera and upload some.

Day 36:

{pictures}

Instead of uploading more pictures of my mother (since this day was Mother's Day), I'll just post a link to my last post (although you could just scroll down :) )

Day 37:

I met Sara after work at Ramsey and we did a little workin' out. No, we didn't swim, but I thought the picture of the pool was nice!

Day 38:

I finished the fifth season of The Office this morning! I flew through the last couple of seasons, and I think I might go through them one more time before I go back to Friends. Oh how I love my morning marathons!
